About
JSS’s support allows clients to develop, learn new skills to input towards a meaningful life, and maintain independence. Focusing on identifying the care needs specific to each people we support; allows the provision we provide to be tailored to each individual.
Personalised support plans are developed by staff alongside the people we support, based on the individuals’ interests, skills and priorities of care. The individuals we support will be engaged in programmes for their independence and well-being either within the service or community. From help with managing finances, to finding education, work or leisure activities and informal befriending services. Clients living at the service will be supported to manage their accommodation and maintain their own tenancy. JSS work with leading developers and estate agents in the region and are able to source accommodation upon request from ICB’s and Local Authorities.
We currently support adults aged 18 and over
Individuals who have a range of complex needs including Learning Disability, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health diagnosis, Neurocognitive/Neurological Disorders, and Acquired Brain Injury.
Young adults transitioning to adulthood and living more independently with support.
Adults with a forensic/significant risk history requiring a more robust community-based environment.
Individuals are informal, subject to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
We assess across a variety of risk factors including, risk to themselves and others, behaviours of concern, and the relational environment between users of the service.
We anticipate individuals will present with support needs that may require higher support and can accept those requiring the following levels of care and support.
Level 1: The individual will have some independent living skills but still needs ongoing support, with minimum needs of a few or occasional hours in a 24-hour period.
Level 2: Individuals will be identified as requiring higher levels of support with day-to-day living skills, and hence require a higher input of support from staff with several hours of support within a 24-hour period.
Level 3: Individuals will require support throughout a 24-hour period, with staffing rations ranging from 1:1 up to 4:1, depending on risk and complexity.
Our service follows CQC regulations and delivers care using the PBS framework. Supervision and quality assurance of the service is routinely undertaken by the wider management team. Our candidates are subject to a rigorous compliance process before starting work and complete a number of trainings as part of this, providing peace of mind to clients, families and professionals involved.
The JSS team would be happy to consult with you regarding how best we can support those with complex needs in your area. We can also provide viewing of available services should this be required.
Our properties can be adapted according to assessed needs, so if required we can create a bespoke package of support, including the creation of a single person service. Our properties can provide access to a multi-disciplinary team, if including but not limited to psychologists, occupational therapists, and counsellors.
We can source properties in quiet residential roads in the heart of the community with excellent access to local amenities and facilities. The services are always designed to be homely and welcoming, each person has their own room and shared bathroom, lounge and kitchen facilities or self-contained units.
The registered manager oversees all our services. Staff will be present 24 hours a day and the service staffing ratios will be dependent on the support needs of those living at the property. As well as their mandatory training, all staff will undergo specific training based on the needs of the individual they are supporting. We take great care
in recruiting, training, and supervising our staff. Where our staff have not already gained care qualifications, we will help enrol them on a wide range of qualifications from: Level 2, 3, 4 & 5 diplomas in Care. In addition to initial induction training, staff also receive regular industry related training in a wide range of areas. We only employ
highly skilled, experienced, compassionate support workers to provide quality care to individuals with complex needs.
JSS and our staff team has Dignity in Care champions. JSS are also working towards the Social Care Commitment and Driving up Quality codes.
We feel that the services our organisation provide would be a valuable addition to the care network in your locality. We would also appreciate the opportunity to be introduced to any Direct Payment funded customers who are considering purchasing care directly.
